Nothing could be truer of our amazing PTA. The generosity of the time donated by our committee members is astonishing. They arrange a host of activities and functions across the school and play a vital role in raising funds for the school, to provide those ‘icing on the cake’ extras, which often make learning more exciting and rewarding.
The PTA is split into various groups of enthusiastic and dedicated parents, teachers and friends of the School, who meet regularly.
Throughout the year, there is a multitude of events that provide opportunities for parents, staff and pupils to get together socially, including the Summer Fete, Family Quiz Night and Fireworks Party. The PTA also arranges occasions just for the ‘grown-ups’ too, such as the May Ball, one of the most prestigious (and entertaining) soirees in the School calendar. And then there are the more practical events like the Nearly New Uniform Sales and Coffee Mornings.
The three main pta events from 2017-2018, the Annual Fireworks, the May Ball and the Summer Fete added £18,034 to funds. These, together with termly subscriptions, site managed events such as Fright Night Disco and Easter Egg Hunt, funds generated from the Boat Club Dinner and sponsored row, and tours clubs events like the Dinners, and the Junior Boys Barbecue, saw a total PTA income of £76,701.
