Years 7 - 9
We welcome girls into Year 7 from our own Junior School and many other local independent and primary schools.
A series of baseline tests are carried out to learn more about your daughter’s current capabilities and aptitude for learning against a standardised national background. The breadth and balance of the curriculum allows girls to develop new interests and talents.
Girls study: Art, Drama, English, Food Technology, Geography, History, ICT*, Information Skills, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages - French, German, Spanish, Music*, Physical Education (PE), PSHEE, Religious Studies, Science and Textiles. (*combined in Year 9 as Music Technology.)
Hear from Mrs Austin Smith, Head of Year 7, about life in Year 7 and how we manage the transition to Senior School.
Helping you become the awesome individuals we know you are.
curriculum statements
For each year group there is a curriculum statement that outlines what is taught in each subject, how it will be taught, the resources used and how progress is measured and assessed.
Pupils’ speaking and listening skills, literacy and numeracy are strong and their ICT skills are excellent.
