Whole School Charity

A huge well done and thank you to the whole Claires Court community for raising a tremendous £10,059.45 for charitable causes from all the activities organised over Charity Week. Activities included Year 9’s cake sale, Year 7 and 8’s fancy dress sponsored walk, Year 7 Girls’ afternoon tea and sponge throwing to name a few.

Here are some of the highlights:

Several incredibly brave and sporting Year 8 teachers were the target for the charity ‘throw the sponge at the teacher’ event. Conditions were chilly but the weather didn’t dampen the children’s enthusiasm or excellent aim!

Year 7 girls hosted their parents for a sumptuous Easter afternoon tea in the Chapel. All of Year 7 were involved in designing the event and creating menu cards and decorations.

Years 7 and 8 girls and boys donned their walking boots and some extraordinary fancy dress costumes for a five mile sponsored walk from Eton Wick to the Senior Boys site. They managed to keep laughing through a snowy blizzard and raised £3,732.9 for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. A fantastic achievement!

As always, we are so proud of our students and teachers for participating so willingly and our strong parent and wider community for their support and financial contributions.  Roll on charity week 2023!
