Claires Court School is celebrating a phenomenal achievement after being crowned overall champions in both the Boys’ and Girls’ categories at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) London West Regional Athletics Championships, held recently at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre.

The prestigious event, hosted by Claires Court and organised by teachers Jo Cox and Caroline Payne, brought together over 1,200 athletes aged 9 to 16 from 23 schools across the region.

Claires Court athletes rose to the occasion with exceptional performances throughout the day, collecting an astonishing 87 medals across all the events. Amongst the medals there were several stand out performances with Tori Williamson, Will White, Olivia Richardson and Lara Campbell all setting new championship records. Their success means that 32 Claires Court pupils have now earned the honour of representing London West at the ISA National Finals at Birmingham Arena later this month with both the Boys and Girls teams crowned overall champions.

Speaking after the event, Head Steve Richards said:

To host and win such a prestigious championship is an incredible moment for our school. The atmosphere, the talent on display, and the spirit of competition were outstanding. We’re immensely proud of every single athlete who competed.

Caroline Payne, who co-led the event organisation, added:

It’s been a pleasure to welcome so many schools and see so many young people enjoying the sport. This event keeps growing each year, and Claires Court is proud to be at the heart of it.
