Claires Court Sixth Form is proud to announce an outstanding set of A Level and BTEC results for the Class of 2025, reflecting the dedication and academic strength of both students and staff.

This year, 86 students sat qualifications across 24 A Level subjects and four BTEC courses, achieving consistently strong outcomes. Standout subject areas with 100% A-C grades* include: History, Politics, Further Mathematics, Fine Art, Textiles, Drama, French, Spanish, Music, Music Technology, Physical Education, Psychology, Photography, and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Across all qualifications:

  • Over 20% of all grades were awarded A*-A

  • Almost 50% of grades were A*-B

  • Over 80% of results achieved A*-C

BTEC Sport, ICT, and Travel & Tourism achieved 100% Distinction* to Merit

With such strong results, all students have secured their university placements, with the vast majority progressing to their first-choice universities. Others have accepted offers for competitive apprenticeships, employment, or training programmes.

Gary Hope, Head of Sixth Form said, “This has been an excellent academic year, filled with individual success and collective achievement. While our results are judged in many ways, our primary focus remains on the quality of learning and personal growth each student experiences.

These outcomes mark a fitting conclusion to our Year 13 students’ time with us, and I could not be prouder. Our leavers now move on to top universities, high-level apprenticeships, and exciting career pathways – all of which reflect their ambition, ability and resilience.

I would like to thank our dedicated teaching staff for their tireless support, and congratulate our students on everything they have achieved. I wish them every success as they take their next steps.

We are proud of the breadth of subjects we offer to suit all interests, combined with plentiful opportunities outside the classroom; this all testifies to a rich and diverse student community where individuals are successful in pursuing their own goals. Irrespective of their next step destinations, all our students will be missed and we wish them every success in the future!”

Academic Principal James Wilding added, “I'm so pleased to confirm that our students have achieved exceptionally well in their public exam results published today, enabling them to take the next steps into their first-choice universities. A few are choosing to move directly into coveted apprenticeships, and others are opting for a gap year placement before beginning undergraduate study in 2026.

The breadth of our Sixth Form provision has enabled many students to develop research skills through the EPQ programme, while others have achieved a Financial Studies Certificate or a Sports Leaders Award, all of which open new opportunities and enhance employability in an increasingly competitive market.

"These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and the incredible staff who have supported them throughout their time with us. I’m delighted for everything they’ve accomplished, and I wish them all the very best for their bright futures.”
